TEZU, Mar 27: First Governing Body Meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samity of Zonal General Hospital (ZGH), Tezu was conducted at the Conference of Deputy Commissioner under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner cum Vice Chairman ZGH, Tezu here today. District Medical Officer Tezu, District RCH Officer, Medical Superintendent (MS), DIPRO, Astt Matron, AE Electrical, representative of All Mishmi Women Welfare Society were present in the meeting.

While DC Karma Leki acknowledged the shortage of General Duty Medical Officers and nursing staff, he told them to continue their duty with utmost sincerity and dedication.

There are constraints I am aware of but how we manage ourselves and give the best service to the needy and poor patients in our best possible ways should be our objective, he said. We should not compromise on our quality of work, he added.

Meanwhile he asked the DMO, DRCHO and Medical Superintendent to have proper coordination. He also asked the MS of ZGH to intimate and invite Urban Development and Police Departments in the next meeting to discuss their problems and to have a fruitful outcome.

He urged Doctors to prescribe Jan Aushadhi medicines to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses especially to poor patients.

MS Dr. Anupam Wailong presented a power point presentation highlighting the status, achievements and functioning of the Hospital.

He pointed out lack of manpower-GDMO, GNM/ANM and insufficient sanitary assistants, non functional Incinerator, security within the Hospital especially during night time, and maintenance of old Hospital building as main challenges before the Hospital.
