ITANAGAR, Dec 24: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pena Khandu also extended their warm greetings to the people of the State on the special occasion of Good Governance Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Governor expressed his hope that the celebration of Good Governance Day will inspire everyone to accept, adopt, and apply the tenants of Good Governance, in letter and spirit, in service of the Nation.
The Chief Minister wished everyone on the occasion of Good Governance Day.
The Governor said that good governance encompasses inclusive growth and development for the welfare and betterment of the life of the people in the country. The processes and functioning of the government machinery, therefore, have to be made fully transparent and responsive. State governments must involve the Citizens and make them active participant in  governance.
