ITANAGAR, May 8: Girls have outshone boys in the CBSE Class –X examination state results this year. In the list released today, eight girls featured in the top ten list.
Bipasa Bose from Government Higher Secondary School Naharlagun came first scoring 96.6 % with a total marks of 483 out of 500 followed by Bikar Doni from Government Higher Secondary School Namsai scoring 95.6 % with total marks of 478 achieving the second rank. And against all odds, a boy from the remote Government Secondary School Bana, Honuk Dada secured the third rank in the state by scoring 94.4 % with a total marks of 472.
As per the report from Directorate of Secondary Education, the total pass percentage of the state is 41.13 % which has shown marked improvement compared to 2017-2018 results when it was only 21.16%.
There were 179 CBSE centres for Class X in Arunachal Pradesh and this year at least 14267 students have registered for the examination out of which 13748 actually appeared at the examination and 5655 students passing it.
