ITANAGAR, May 17: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has strongly condemned the brutal murder of an 18-year old girl in Kimin whose identity is yet to be ascertained and sought the immediate intervention of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women for speeding the investigation process.
Describing the details of the crime through a letter to APSCW where the victim was shot with a .22 riffle and burnt with kerosene with the intention to deform the body beyond recognition, the APWWS has requested the State Women Commission to direct the concerned investigating authority to constitute a Special Investigation Team to unearth the truth and book the culprit.
It can be recalled that the heinous crime came to light a few days ago with the discovery of the body at 200 meters from main road towards Sele village in Kimin. A case has been registered under IPC 302 and the body is still lying unclaimed at the RK Mission Hospital Mortuary after post mortem. APWWS Press Release
