Ziro, Dec 7: A Legal Literacy Club was inaugurated today here at the Dani Kunia Government Higher Secondary School by Member Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority Budi Habung. The club has been established by the District Legal Services Authority to create awareness amongst children on various acts like POCSO, fundamental rights and duties and the prevailing drug menace. Habung in his keynote address explained to the children the provisions for free legal services and the utility of the Legal Literacy Club. District and Session Judge Lobsang Chetan elaborated on POCSO Act 2012. Advocate Tanyang Tado highlighted the fundamental rights and duties and advocate K.Tagyang dwelt on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985.
CJM Domo Padu and around 200 children and teaching staff attended the programme.
