Yupia, Mar 30: General Observer for Papum Pare, Amit Dhaka held a meeting with all the contesting and unopposed candidates of Papum Pare after the conclusion of the nomination process here at DEO Office Yupia on Saturday.
The GO broadly highlighted the model code of conduct guidelines, candidate’s election expenditure related matters, EVM preparations and the ECI apps like cVigil, used for registering MCC violations in real time and Suvidha, where permissions pertaining to rallies and party offices can be applied online.
While sharing his accommodation and contact details the General Observer said that “all queries and suggestions for a peaceful conduct of the elections are welcomed and any obstacles should be immediately bought to his notice.”
DEO Papum Pare, Jiken Bomjen while addressing the unopposed candidates requested them to ensure peaceful parliamentary elections in their constituencies. He also urged the public to participate and turn out in large numbers to vote.
Later the candidates and their representatives were given a live demonstration of the cVigil and the Suvidha Apps.
Earlier the GO also witnessed the 2nd randomisation of the polling personnel held here at the DC conference hall, Yupia.
Among others SP Papum Pare Taru Gusar, RO-13 Itanagar Shweta Nagarkoti, RO 15 Sagalee Yame Higio, unopposed elected candidate Er. Ratu Techi, PPA candidate  Nabam Vivek, INC candidate Nabam Tado, representatives of BJP and Nodal Officers attended the meeting.
