State BJP President Tapir Gao extended greetings to the people, particularly indigenous faith believers of the frontier state on the occasion of Indigenous Faith Day.
“Indigenous faith is beyond praying and believing in the power of Donyi (sun) and Polo (moon). It is a belief system that repose faith in the power of Mother Nature and the universe in keeping all living beings healthy,” said Gao while adding that challenge before tribal society is to preserve our tradition of being one with nature and culture of holistic approach in nurturing larger society.
Further, he praised the efforts of various pathfinders that started the Indigenous Faith movement to ensure world recognition of our practices.
Youths, who are the future torch-bearers must know the efforts of the likes of Golgi Bote Talom Rukbo and others in cementing Indigenous Faith so as to carry forward their seminal works, Gao added.
