ITANAGAR, Jun 21:Minister, Tax, Excise & Narcotics, Jarkar Gamlin inaugurated the newly constructed conference hall and computer lab of the department at the office premises today.

In addition to that twenty five laptops and printers were also distributed to the district superintendents and HQ officers to equip themselves with day to day GST activities.

In his address, Gamlin advised officials to work unitedly for the welfare of the department and better revenue generation and exhorted them to approach him in advance about any issues concerning the smooth functioning of the department.

Parliamentary Secretary Tapuk Taku advised all officers to remain punctual to their assigned duties to avoid unnecessary criticism from the public over revenue leakages and urged them to make use of the assets provided.

IRS, Anirudh Singh exhorted the officials to well acquaint themselves with provision of GST and directed the assessing officers to start assessment of dealers in time bound manner for better revenue generation and to avoid leakage of revenue.
