ITANAGAR, Jun 19: The brutal killing of 20 jawans and officers of the Indian Army by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has seen sharp reactions and outpouring condolences from various sections of people in the state.
Terming the valiant soldiers as true martyrs, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee while expressing grief has extended condolences to the bereaved families of the brave fighters and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls. Urging an early and effective intervention by the Central government, APCC has also reminded the Centre to ensure highest-possible measures for safety and security of the Indian soldiers in any future face-off with China.  
The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP), the state’s apex employees' organisation has strongly condemned the barbaric act by the Chinese PLA.  
In a press release issued on Friday, CoSAAP while terming the act as the latest guilt by China after spreading coronavirus all across the world has said that the organisation is committed to stand firmly behind the Indian Army soldiers and their families and the nation as a whole at this hour of crisis. It has appealed to all the people of the country, especially the state’s citizens to permanently boycott/reject Chinese products and opt for alternative Indian products and has further urged the state government to pass a legislation in the State Assembly to ensure an official boycott of selling and purchasing Chinese products permanently.
CoSAAP has also appealed the people of Arunachal Pradesh, especially the border area people to cooperate with the Indian Army and extend a helping hand whenever required. APCC, CoSAAP PRs
