ITANAGAR , Jan 23: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.) visited Darak Circle, one of the interior Circles of West Siang District on January  22. The Governor, who is on a district tour of newly formed districts of Shi Yomi and Lepa Rada, interacted with the officials and villagers of the Circle.
Stating that road, electricity, education and health are essential for progress of society, the Governor urged upon the people to ensure that fund provided for development programmes are hundred percent used on the ground. Emphasising on active involvement of the public in the developmental process, the Governor reiterated on transparency, honesty, accountability in utilization of developmental fund.The officials must be prepared for review and audit and where ever required, mid-course correction must be made, he said.Earlier, Local MLA Nyamar Karbak briefed the Governor of the developmental activities in the Circle.
First Lady Neelam Misra, who is promoting indigenous loin loom presented a DVD, titled, ‘Bunayi ki Ranggi Duniya’ to Deputy Commissioner on the occasion.She also paid obeisance at Benji Liine, a sacred place for both indigenous and Hindu believers on her maiden visit to this Circle.
Earlier in the morning, the Governor, accompanied by local MLA  P.D. Sona inspected the Advance Landing Ground at Mechuka in Shi Yomi District. He interacted with the Air Force officials and updated himself on the latest development.
