ITANAGAR, Feb 5: A one-day free mega health camp was held at Baririju in Upper Subansiri district on February 3 last benefitting more than 500 needy people, including women, children and elderly persons of the remote Baririjo and its adjoining villages.
A team of specialist doctors from TRIHMS Naharlagun, RK Mission Hospital, Itanagar, and General Hospital, Aalo assisted by paramedical staff and volunteers conducted free consultations and checkups in ENT, medicine, general surgery, gynaecology & obstetrics, etc and provided free medicines to all 554 patients registered at the camp.
The mega health camp was organized by ‘Dream for United Arunachal (DUA)’ in collaboration with TRIHMS and RKMH with logistics support from ‘STAR’ (an NGO) to mark the first death anniversary of the DUA chairman Gumjum Haider’s mother late Ruyom Yigam Haider.
