YUPIA, Feb 23: In a joint effort, four minor children allegedly engaged as domestic help were rescued today.
‘Responding to the call from Centre Coordinator Childline Itanagar, four minor children were rescued who were allegedly kept as child labourers and physically abused by one T Neet in her quarter near District Transport Officer Office Yupia,’ informed Superintendent of Police, Papumpare Tumme Ammo.
The SP further added that, on receiving calls from Centre Coordinator Childline, Takang Diging through Child Line Kolkata on February 21 last, accordingly, a team was constituted led by Inspector Banghang Tangzang Officer In-charge Doimukh , ASI Niri Rama along with Labour Officer Ashok Sonam , Atom Sonam and Childline Itanagar under his supervision who immediately rushed to the quarter of T Neet and rescued the children.
