RUPA, Sep 27: In a tragic incident, at least four people including an Ex-Armyman and army driver were killed and several others injured when the minibus carrying them crashed at Chug Bridge, Rupa, West Kameng today.
The incident occurred around 7 pm this evening when the mini bus belonging to 14- Kumaon Regiment of Indian Army carrying at least 18 veterans on board met with the accident. They were on their way from Tawang to Rupa, West Kameng to attend the ‘Veterans Rally’ scheduled to be held at Rupa on September 28.
The deceased have been identified as Tsowang Norbu, Passang Monpa , Norbu Lama all natives of Tawang and driver Mukesh Kumar Yadav of 14- Kumaon Regiment.
The injured persons are being treated at the Military Hospital, Dahung.
