NAHARLAGUN, Oct 13: Advisor to Chief Minister Tai Tagak appealed for participation of the masses especially parents and guardians of students to associate and extend support as well as shoulder responsibility for the development of education sector in the state.

He was addressing the gathering on the occasion of laying of foundation of 61 bedded Boys hostel, administrative block at Abo Tani Vidya Niketan, Pachin on Saturday.

Tagak said that, government is trying to improve the education system but that is not enough and the public have to come forward and participate especially parents who can better understand as their wards are receiving education in various private, government and public schools of the state.

Department of Indigenous Affairs, Vice Chairman Kuru Tai, senior BJP leader Techi Necha also spoke at the gathering.

Education department Engineering Wing, Executive Engineer Gyamar Karo informed that estimated cost of 2 crore has been approved under CSR component of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for construction of 61 bedded boys hostel.
