Governor chairs high-level security review meeting
ITANAGAR, Apr 5: Extending support to All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) and Confederation of Service Association of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) on their resistance for merging the Tomo Riba State Hospital (TRSH) with The Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF) also expressed its strong reservations over the decision of the state government.
In a press communiqué, GAF further opined that the necessary requirements for starting a Medical College have not been met yet. In addition to the problems the employees would be facing – in their service period and other benefits - due to the merger of TRSH with TRIHMS, is a drawback to the whole procedure.
Beside regular problems, forum also questioned the authority on establishment of Medical College at the present site of the State Hospital instead of its original allotted plot for a five hundred bedded (500) Medical College and Hospital at Pachin Colony.GAF also asserted that proposal to use old Legislative Assembly building, Directorate of Social Welfare, Art and Culture, Child Development and the police quarters under the Motor Transport Officer (MTO) will cost huge loss to state exchequer as some of them are too old and others need to be dismantled completely.
