MEBO/NAMSING, Jan 22: In a groundbreaking move, an unprecedented unity cum public interaction event for all aspiring BJP candidates from the 39- Mebo Assembly Constituency took place at Namsing village on Monday. The initiative, spearheaded by former MLA Ralom Borang, aims to foster solidarity among potential leaders and engage with the local community.
Borang addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the initiative in bringing the community together to identify and support their future leaders. With multiple candidates vying for the BJP ticket in the Mebo constituency, the event sought to promote collaboration among aspirants for the greater good of the constituency.
Highlighting the longstanding dominance of the Congress party in the region and the minimal development witnessed in recent years, Borang stressed the need for change. He pointed to the dilapidated state of roads leading to Namsing village and cited other remote areas requiring attention and development.
Borang expressed the collective goal of securing a BJP victory in the Mebo constituency, rallying behind the chosen candidate to ensure comprehensive development. He underscored the importance of supporting Chief Minister Pema Khandu's leadership for the overall progress of the state.
The event witnessed active participation and speeches from the five other BJP aspiring candidates: Dr. Dangi Perme, Dr. Mandip Perme, Olen Rome, Oken Tayeng, and Gomkom Tayeng. Each candidate shared their vision and plans for the upcoming 2024 assembly elections, demonstrating a positive and collaborative spirit.
As Mebo gears up for the 2024 elections, this unique initiative reflects the BJP's commitment to internal cohesion and community engagement, setting the stage for a dynamic and united approach to governance in the region.
The event was also attended by State BJP General Secretary –Nalong Mize, East Siang BJP President Aku Borang and other party workers and public.
