ITANAGAR, Jul 6: 70th Vanmahotsava 2019, the annual Indian tree plantation week was celebrated by Banderdewa Forest Division at Government Middle School Dobam, Karsingsa, Papum Pare district with plantation of litchi seedlings at the school premises.
PCCF WAC & State Pollution Control Board Chairman RK Singh, IFS explained about the non-tangible ecological services of plants to the students and public. DFO Banderdewa Forest Division Tasso Sira urged for participation in the Vanmahotsava by planting at least one sapling per person. Essay & drawing competitions held on Ecological & Environment Protection themes had winners from Government Higher Secondary School Doimukh, Government Secondary School Banderdewa, Government Middle School Dobam & VKV PTC Banderdewa. Under Entry Point Activities, Forest Department through Banderdewa Division donated solar power saving devices to the local Gaon Buras and Government Middle School Dobam.
