3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Nov 26: The 7th edition of International Tourism Mart (ITM) 2018, NE chapter was organized at Agartala in Tripura from November 22 to 24.
The Union Ministry of Tourism with the objective of highlighting the tourism potential of the North Eastern region in the domestic as well as international market organizes the travel mart annually which is hosted by NE states alternatively. A team comprising of five departmental officials comprising of Assistant Director, District Tourism Officer and Tourist Information Officer and six tour operators headed by Director of Tourism , Kanto Danggen participated in the mart representing Arunachal Pradesh.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Governor of Tripura Kaptan Singh Solanki, Chief Minister of Tripura Biplap Kumar Deb and Union Minister Tourism, Alpons Kannanthanam. Colourful cultural troupes from all the states of North East was the main highlight in which Arunachal also participated showcasing the rich and colourful folkdance and songs.
Director Tourism, Kanto Danggen gave a Power Point presentation highlighting the tourism potential and other important aspects of the state. Arunachal Tourism exhibition stall was visited by many international delegates, domestic delegates and public seeking information to visit Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, highest number of international delegates belonging to South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Kenya, Indonesia & USA opted to visit Arunachal Pradesh on post-Mart familiarization tours to be organized by the Arunachal Government.
The FAM tour is being organised in two circuits of the state covering Eastern Arunachal and Western Arunachal. About 10 International delegates will be visiting Arunachal Pradesh comprising of freelance journalists, travel writers, tour operators, bloggers, travel agents which is the highest number among North Eastern states.
