ROING, Apr 22:A group of 63 residents of Roing in Lower Dibang Valley performed a Flash Mob spreading the message of ‘Swachh Bharat’ today. A team comprising different age groups belonging to all walks of life staged the performance at 9 am in the heart of the district headquarters. The team started performing extempore dance to a medley of songs. The act dumbfounded the public who were busy in their routine Sundayshopping and made them clueless initially. As the songs progressed, the mission of their moves also got revealed. The message was for ‘Swachh Bharat’ and the team comprised volunteers of the citizens volunteering group, ‘i-Clean ROING’.

In fact, by performing Flash Mob for the first time in Roing, they strategically put across the message of ‘Swachh Bharat’ to commemorate the 1st Raising Day Celebrations of ‘i-Clean ROING’.

Flash Mob is an act by a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time then quickly disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment and artistic expression with a message.

‘i-Clean ROING’ is a benevolent group of citizens purely on volunteering basis working for cleanliness of their town through weekly spot fixings. Henceforth, they plan to campaign for waste segregation @ source as well.
