Ziro, Apr 23: Department of Fisheries, Lower Subansiri district has been able to supply the much needed local fresh fish amounting to 0.853 tons during the lockdown period from April 15-23 at various locations in Ziro-Hapoli township.
DFDO L. Lasa informed that the Department is toiling hard to bridge the demand-supply gap of local fresh fish. “The department is continuously liaising with the local fish farmer co-operative societies, fish ponds operated by women SHGs and all marginal fish farmers to meet the demand,” he added, assuring that all necessary transportation facilities will also be provided to the fish selling counters.
He further requested the citizens to maintain social distancing while buying fish. DIPRO
