MIAO, Nov 19: The First Lady of the State, Neelam Misra interacted with the womenfolk of Miao Sub Division at Miao today. She extended Rang Frah festival greetings to them.
The First Lady exhorted the womenfolk to carry on with the traditional loin loom weaving with a view to maintain the essence of Arunachali women creative skill. Loin Loom weaving is not only the core of women's expertise but also a source of their social and financial empowerment, she said 
She called upon the womenfolk to create awareness about COVID-19 Pandemic and  COVID Appropriate Behaviour, including effective use of face mask, frequent washing of hands, social distancing, i.e. ‘Do Gaz Ki Doori’. She urged them to motivate people to take anti COVID vaccine, its two doses, at the earliest, without any apprehension.
During the interaction, a woman shared that due to the efforts of the Governor, the people of Miao-Vijoynagar area are happy as the partly completed road has resulted in travel convenience for the natives. Now we have to walk for only two days in place of earlier six days to reach Vijoynagar, she said. 
Later the First Lady visited the newly inaugurated emporium providing an outlet to the local artisans.
