ITANAGAR, Sep 10. A semi concrete structure at Ganga Basti area with at least thirty rooms was completely gutted in a massive fire this evening, leaving several tenants homeless. Although no casualty was reported, property worth lakhs of rupees including documents of several students were gutted in the blaze.
According to sources the fire broke out from one of the rooms between 6-6: 30 pm and engulfed all the adjoining rooms. A total of six cooking gas cylinders exploded, the source added.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Newsdesk
