ITANAGAR, Oct 25: In an unfortunate incident, the house of Domnick Tadar, Vice President of state BJP was burnt to ashes at Lekhi village. The incident occurred in the wee hours today.
The Nirjuli police team and fire services from Naharlagun immediately rushed to the spot and with the help of the public controlled the fire from spreading to other houses, informed Superintendent of Police, Tumme Amo.
‘One big kacha house along with three vehicles were burnt, however no casualties have been reported. The cause of fire is suspected to be from firecrackers. However, the matter is under investigation to find out actual cause of the fire and estimated losses, added the SP.
