TALO,  Oct 7: A devastating fire on Saturday night engulfed the entire Talo Government Higher Secondary school. The fire that started around 11.30 pm reduced a meeting hall,  the library, the administration block and classrooms into ashes, before any help could arrive. The school located at Talo village in Lower Subansiri is around 22kms from the district headquarters. 
Local MLA Likha Saaya along with his team of Ex PRI members, ADC Toko Obi, Principal Toko Tubi rushed to Talo to take stock of the situation.  aaya,  an aluminus of the school expressed deep anguish over the incident. He announced 50 lakhs of his Non-BADP fund for infrastructure development of the school. He also donated ten lakhs from his MLAD for immediate relief towards procurement of computers,  desk , benches and building temporary sheds and also assured all possible assistance for the rehabilitation of the students studying in the school  He further directed the District Administration and the Police  to immediately initiate investigation and take serious actions against whosoever is responsible. 
However till filing of this report the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. 
Government higher secondary school Talo was one of the oldest schools in Ziro-II belt. It has to its credit innumerous technocrats, bureacrates, lawyers and doctors.
