ITANAGAR, Oct 13: A fire broke out in the SBI bank located at Ganga, Itanagar on Sunday morning dye to suspected electrical short circuit. However, no major damage to property or documents were reported.
Fire Brigade officials said the fire was reported in the morning hours. Acting on the information, the team rushed to the spot and found thick smoke coming out from the inside of Bank premises.
Superintendent of Police, Tumme Amo informed that responding to the emergency call, a team of fire brigade along police rushed to the spot. ‘There was a fire incident reported at SBI Ganga branch, in the morning around 7.35 am and fire tender immediately rushed to the incident scene.
The cause of the fire appears to be an electric short circuit from the defective AC located inside the bank. No loss of life or serious damage to the building or any documents occurred as the fire was immediately doused-off and the matter is under investigation, stated SP.
