Itanagar, Feb 15: Minister Home Bamang Felix chaired a review meeting with all the HoDs and members of sector committees formed to ensure a safe, secure, serene, clean and green Itanagar at Dorjee Khandu Convention Center Itanagar today under Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan (Itanagar Chapter). 
He said that the Abhiyan is a step forward by the government to empower people in governance and urged the people to develop a sense of ownership towards their society and contribute their share in creating a safe, secure and serene Itanagar.
He hoped that with the effort of the sector committees to reach out to every individual and to every nook and corner of their sectors will definitely help to maintain law and order in their respective sectors. Further, such effort will also help motivate residents to come forward and contribute their share towards this noble initiative.
He also stressed on the need to have Mother’s Association in every sector as who else can lead and show the way better than a mother, said the HM.
The HM who himself has set an example by planting and was also instrumental in planting of 26000 trees till date said that his dream is to plant 1 lakh trees in his lifetime. He urged the sector committees to identify locations in the colonies to plant trees as saplings shall be provided by the Forest Department.
He also urged the citizens to take  over the responsibility of  safety and security of their sectors and said that the rule of law will definitely prevail.
Local MLA Techi Kaso also stressed on the need to change the mindset of people and to create a sense of belongingness  towards society. He also said that a collaborative effort is required from every individual to achieve this feat.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Region Komkar Dulom while welcoming all also stressed on the need for joint effort between the sector members and the residents.
 The representative  of every sector committees presented their detail report. They  also presented their views, suggestions, ideas and feedback regarding their respective sectors which were reviewed and thoroughly discussed during the meeting.
Later, while concluding the meeting the HM lauded the committee members and urged them to continue with the same zeal and motivation and hoped that with a collaborative effort a safe, secure, serene, clean and green capital will definitely be achieved.
 Later, the SP capital Tumme Amo while giving vote of thanks also highlighted the initiatives of the Capital Police in containing law and order. DIPRO
