ITANAGAR, Jan 20: Home Minister, Bamang Felix convened a meeting to review the progress of ongoing construction of Trans Arunachal Highway from Joram-Koloriang on Monday.
The meeting was attended by DC, Kra Daadi, SP, DSP, General Manager NHIDCL, EEs of PWD, Power, PHE, DFO, DLSRO, and Nodal Officer, TK Engineering, etc.
Expressing concern over the slow pace of road construction works, Felix instructed the contractors to speed up the construction works by engaging required men, machinery and resources.
In this regard, Felix particularly gave directions to Nodal officer T.K. engineering to ensure that the required resources are made available before February.
He also directed DLRSO and utility shifting departments of all the three districts to solve the utility-related hindrances from RoW of Joram Koloriang road before February 28.
Meanwhile, the members present in the meeting apprised the objection and grievances being raised by the Trans Arunachal Highway Victim Committee of Joram-Koloriang TAH.
The Minister appealed to the people that road is for their benefit and urged them not to obstruct development works.
He further directed the District Administration to deal with such protests amicably.
