ITANAGAR, Sep 20: Prior to the launching of ambitious "Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan" movement, Home Minister, Bamang Felix on Friday officially launched its website in the presence of Director General of Police, RP Upadhyaya SP Capital, Tumme Amo, and other top police officials.
" HAA", a pilot project recently approved by the cabinet on Thursday under the recommendation of Home Minister, aims at reducing crime & violence, drugs abuse, and other social problems by involving CBOs, public, and intellectuals, etc.
Addressing the gathering, Felix said that the project was initiated in order to create a secure and peaceful environment where everyone can peacefully live in.
He said that the major campaign is a joint effort of police and Home department formulated under the active direction of Chief Minister, Pema Khandu with a vision to check societal menace hindering the growth of the state effectively.
Felix further requested the DGP to ask all police officials to actively participate in involving stake holders to ensure the grand success of the campaign across the state.
Earlier, PRO to CM, Jambey Tashi in his address highlighted the objective of the mass movement.
The official launching ceremony of "HAA" will be held on October 2, on Gandhi Jayanti here at IG Park Itanagar.
