SANGRAM, Dec 7: The self-help groups (SHGs) of Nyapin Constituency received a significant boost as Minister for Home, Panchayat & RD, Bamang Felix, who is also the local MLA today formally disbursed bank loan of Rs 43.77 lakhs to 24 SHGs and one lakh each to 23 SHGs under Arun Shree Rinn Yojana. 
This initiative also included formal flagging off of nine vehicles under the Arunachal Grameen Express Yojana to the SHGs under 19-Nyapin AC. The disbursement took place during a two-day Orientation cum Sanitization program focused on various central and state sponsored schemes under PR, Rural Department, and ArSrLM, held on Thursday at Layang.
Addressing the attendees, Felix highlighted the implementation of various schemes and projects aimed at empowering women through SHGs in the state. The orientation events featured key figures from concerned departments sharing information about schemes and projects, along with details on how to access the benefits. 
The Minister expressed satisfaction at the unexpected large turnout, with more than 1400 participants, especially women from various SHGs, contributing to the program's success.
Felix emphasized on the success achieved by SHGs through different schemes, revealing that SHGs across the state have cumulative bank account holdings to the tune of more than Rs 200 crores through which they are engaged in various economic activities.He urged PRI leaders and SHGs to utilize all available benefits and emphasized the importance of timely loan repayments.
Secretary Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Amarnath Talwade (IAS) commended the villagers, particularly the SHGs, for their active participation in the program. He assured the community that the department is committed to supporting them in becoming self-reliant. While acknowledging the need for departmental improvement, Talwade stated that though all schemes may not be perfect, collective efforts should be made to enhance their effectiveness.
During the event, Director PR Tamune Miso, Director Rural Development Kego Jilen, SIRD&PR officers, Chief Operating Officer ArSRLM, Jechonia Islary delivered presentations on various schemes and projects under both central & state projects.
The event was attended by Joint Director PR Likha Sampu, DC Kurung Kumey Ibom Tao, Superintendent of Police Bomken Basar, SDO in charge Sangram, Hento Riba, among others.
