PASIGHAT, Jan 21: As a part of the Dulari Kanya Yojana, five beneficiaries received Fixed Deposit Certificates (FDC) today from the Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong here at the Mirbuk Government Secondary School.
ADC Tatdo Borang, DMO Dr. Kaling Dai, DPO SK Sarma, DANO Dr. N Ratan, Mondal President Asar Padun, host of officers and leaders were present on the occasion. Moyong informed that as per the scheme, government will deposit Rs. 20,000 in the bank account in the name of a girl child born in any government hospital and the amount will be paid along with accrued interest after the child attains 18 years of age. This is a special scheme to check infant mortality and would help in building a progressive career of the girl child, he added.
DMO Dr. Kaling Dai informed that till date about three hundred beneficiaries had been registered and one hundred sixty more FDCs are ready to be handed over during the ensuing Republic Day celebration. DIPRO
