AALO, Jul 24: The Department of Agriculture West Siang district organized awareness training on Mission Organic Value Chain Development (MOVCD) and other departmental schemes at Liromoba recently in collaboration Liromoba Farmers Club with the participation of farmers, gaon burahs and departmental officials.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Director Agriculture, Margi Ete advised the farmers to take utmost benefit of the farmer centric flagship programmes such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Chief Minister’s Krishi Samuh Yojana and many other ongoing schemes. The DDA also underlined the need of sustainable farming to generate regular source of income. Earlier, the official highlighted the details of Mission Organic Value Chain Development and invited them to take up this programme in accessible and feasible clusters. He had also asked the farmers to discard all forms of chemicals and synthetic fertilizers in the fields, and urged them to adopt organic methods of farming to escape from any form of health and soil hazards.
