PASIGHAT, Feb 14: 26 progressive farmers attended a three day residential training programme on scientific cultivation of Rubber organized by the Department of Trade and Commerce, at Itanagar in collaboration with Rubber Board, Regional Office, Itanagar which concluded on Wednesday.
While speaking at the program, Secretary, Trade & Commerce Onit Panyang informed that rubber cultivation is making good progress in the state.
In the technical session, officials informed the small rubber growers about proper scientific rubber cultivation technique & importance of group formation of rubber growers to get benefit in better way.
On the last day, a field exposure visit was also arranged to polybag nursery at Sonajuli and tapping of mature rubber at Tarajuli.
Director, Tokong Pertin, Dy. Director, Sonyung Modi of the department of Trade & Commerce were present among others.
