ITANAGAR, Oct 29:A traditional cultural troupe from Uttar Pradesh is slated to perform the famous Braj Holi during Basar Confluence organised by Gumin Rego Kilaju (GRK) on November 4-5 next at Basar.

The UP cultural team is visiting Basar under Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat (EBSB) programme which has been launched by the Government of India with the broad objectives of celebrating unity in diversity of our nation, to promote the spirit of national integration through deep and structured engagement between all the State and Union Territories.

 Under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat the States of Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh are paired for promoting national integration and strengthening the understanding between each State at different levels thereby fostering long term engagements. 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to this effect between Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Uttar Pradesh on October 5 last at Lucknow.

Under EBSB, students of Rajiv Gandhi University will be visiting Uttar Pradesh and vice versa as part of student exchange programme. Also cultural troupes and artisans from Arunachal Pradesh would be performing during Lucknow Mahotsava, Ganga Mahotsava and Taj Mahotsava etc. The NCC and NSS volunteers would be actively involved in the various adventure programmes under EBSB.
