ITANAGAR, Mar 20:   Seven days  ‘Faculty Development programme on Rural Community Engagement’  organized by  the Department of Social Work & NSS cell, Rajiv Gandhi University in collaboration with National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI), MHRD, Hyderabad   kicked off  at RGU today.

 At least   23 delegates from state and central universities located across North East India of different subjects and NSS POs are participating in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor RGU Tamo Mibang, highlighted the critical need for bridging the gap between higher education and community engagement.

 Earlier, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences Professor SK Singh highlighted the need for building rural resilience which was also echoed by the key note speaker Professor Vermain.
