Itanagar, Jun 27: The state government today announced its decision to wind up the facility quarantine at the Police Training Center, Banderdewa from June 30.
The order was issued as per the decision taken during a coordination meeting held today under the chairmanship of Minister Home Bamang Felix to facilitate restart of training of police personnel in the PTC.
The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Region, Komkar Dulom vide an order has informed that PTC Banderdewa shall not admit any returnee or inmate with effect from June 30.
The DC informed that the entry of returnees from outside the State shall be suspended temporarily from July 1-3 except the emergent cases and exempted categories as per MHA’s order. He has therefore requested the citizens to cooperate with the Administration as these arrangements are required to shift all logistics to State Quarantine Centre at Lekhi from the PTC Banderdewa. He further informed that Intra state travelling shall continue unhindered.
The registration of arrivals shall be resumed at State Quaratine Centre Lekhi from July 4 for paid quarantine centres at SQC Lekhi and hotels as per the new SOPs and contact point of all arrivals shall be the checkgate at Banderdewa, informed the DC.
Due to less arrivals of returnees, the ferrying of inmates from Banderdewa to various interior districts by bus shall also be discontinued from July 1. The returnees shall be provided quarantine facilities in the capital region for initial quarantine period to be followed by home quarantine in respective districts subsequently as the case may be.
