NAHARLAGUN, Dec 4: A weavers’ facilitation camp was conducted by Papum Pare district administration at Jenier Weavers Society, Konkar Nallah under MSME support and outreach program today.
Amit Yadav, Joint Secretary, Telecom, Govt of India and Nodal Officer Papum Pare for MSME support and outreach programme, Special Secretary, Textile and Handicrafts, GoAP, NT Glow and Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Dr. Joram Beda personally supervised and motivated the beneficiaries.
During the camp, local MPCS (weavers) and weavers registered under CMITPS, local weavers registered under WCS clusters were mobilised to register to avail facility of the schemes.
SBI, Apex Bank including all private banks conducted financial literacy service (FLS) on various flagship schemes like Mudra loans, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APS, Jan Dhan Yojana, PMEGP, etc. Other facilities like GST registration of weavers, registration of weavers unit in Udhyog Aadhar, MSME, availing of Pehchan Patra and Yarn Passbook, opening of Provident Fund accounts, registration of weavers as Cooperative Society, formation of SGHs, training of weavers and PMEGP and facilitation of weavers to open email account were also facilitated on the spot.
It is worthwhile to mention that Papum Pare district is the only district in the state which has been selected under MSME support and outreach programme.
