Aalo, Mar 20:  Election Expenditure Observers, Jagdish Prasad Jangid and Amanjit Singh having charges of parliamentary and assembly constituencies respectively, today conducted an elaborate meeting with West Siang District Election Officer and all Nodal Officers of the district.
The observers stressed on checking the cash expenditure transactions of the candidates, movement of liquor, prints and publications in electronic and print media, use of vehicles on election, rallies, posters, banners and hoardings. They also directed all Nodal Officers to file expenditure reports on daily basis.
DEO West Siang gave a detail briefing on measures to check the violation of Model Code of Conduct(MCC) in the district. Executive order banning carrying arms and ammunition, lethal weapons like dao, machete, sword etc in the district had already been issued by the DEO. SP, administrative officers, magistrates and sector magistrates have all been asked to enforce the order in letter and spirit in their respective jurisdictions. DIPRO
