ITANAGAR, Nov 15: Tabu Dayam, a mountaineer hailing from Dayam village in Daporijo district, is a member of the 10-member joint mountaineering expedition to Mt. Thinchenkhang, 6010 m height, in west Sikkim. The team is planning to scale the peak on November 24 after establishing two camps.
DK Dinglow, Director Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, flagged off the expedition today and informed the gathering that whatever help is needed for the expedition will be extended by the department. Tabu Dayam has completed basic and advanced mountaineering courses from NIMAS and also participated in the combined mountaineering expedition to Mt. Baisakhi, 5887 M at Tawang district and successfully scaled the peak on September 20 which was organised by NIMAS, Dirang.
