TEZU, Mar 27:Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki attending the Exit Conference of Social Audit & Social Accountability has emphasized on proper dissemination of MGNREGA in grassroot levels so that maximum number of people can benefit from it. The Conference was held at Deputy Commissioner's Conference, here today in presence of Project Director DRDA, Block Development Officer, District Resource Person, and Village Resource Persons (VRPs).

DC stressed on the need of proper dissemination of MGNREGA at village level. Well informed villagers will result in transparent social audit and accountability, he said.

He also talked about the significance and objective of MGNREGA which provides employment opportunities in rural areas enabling livelihood asset creation.

He congratulated the DRP and VRPs for successfully conducting 20 social audits in 20 gram panchayats. 

Jonomo Rondo, District Resource Person(DRP) Social Audit Unit of Lohit District handed over the 20 (Twenty) Gram Panchayat Social Audit Report of Financial Year 2016-17 under MGNREGA Scheme to the Deputy Commissioner which was implemented by Gram Panchayats under Rural Development department and executed by BDO, Tezu.

He informed that Director of Social Audit Unit has set a target to complete 20 Gram Panchayat segments within the Social Audit Calendar for the financial year 2016-17 which has been achieved with the help of VRPs, he informed.
