ITANAGAR, Dec 1: A Digital Interactive Exhibition on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi organised by Regional Outreach Bureau, Itanagar was inaugurated today by Secretary (Education) Niharika Rai here at state capital.
Director, ROB, Itanagar Dr. Keshavamurthy, Director, DIPR Tayeng, Commandant, NDRF Thapliyal and Dr. Kuashalendra of RGU were present on the occasion. Dr. Keshavamurthy while highlighting the relevance of Gandhi’s philosophy in everyday life urged the students to adopt his ideals and said that Itanagar is the 21st city in the country where such an exhibition portraying the life, philosophy and contribution of the Mahatma to India’s independence is being held including the one at the Hornbill festival in Kohima, which also began today. Secretary (Education) thanked the M/o Information and Broadcasting for the unique 5-day exhibition and urged school children to inculcate Gandhian principles.
The same was echoed by Dr. Kuashalendra who also highlighted Gandhi’s favourite themes of Gramoday and Swacchata in everyday life. ROB PR
