Tawang, Dec 18: A three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Women Entrepreneurs of Tawang district began today here at the District Industries Centre organized by the Department of Industries.
The programme is being attended by 25 women entrepreneurs of the district which was inaugurated by ADC Tawang Lobsang Tsering. Assistant Director of Industries Tsering Drema said that to eradicate social attitude of inequality to women and empower them with skill development, this kind of programmes are being conducted by the government since 2006 and women groups are being supported through financial institutions in the form of loans, subsidies and grant-in-aids for commencing  own business. ADC said that local women can explore areas like preparing pickles, traditional dresses and other necessary items with locally available resources which would enable them to reach financial stability and urged the participants to avail maximum benefits from the training and clarify doubts during technical session.
