Yupia, Sep 12: One day awareness camp on nutritional requirements from perspective of gender equality was organised by District ICDS Cell, Papum Pare as a part of Poshan Maah celebration at ZPC hall Yupia.
The Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu called upon all stake holders to take the message of nutrition to every nook and corner of the district so that maximum numbers of beneficiaries can take benefit of the programme. He further requested Deputy Director ICDS to ensure that Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan is effectively implemented in Papum Pare District and assured full support and cooperation in its successful implementation.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tabang Bodung who administered the Poshan Oath to all participants also said that awareness has to be generated on nutritional values from grassroots level in which Aganwadi workers and ASHAs had to play greater role in educating the people on nutrition, health and sanitation.
District Medical Officer Dr Subu Tasso Kampu highlighted the activities of health department regarding pregnant women, girl child (Dulari Kanya) and Diarrhoea control programme and role of ASHAs and ASHA Facilitators in their respective health facilities.
Earlier, DD ICDS Cell, Yupia, Aryoma Lowang briefed the house on objective of Rastriya Poshan Maah and its key features through power point presentation. DIPRO
