KHONSA, May 15: In a tragic accident an electrician was electrocuted and three others of the power department were severely injured while installing new electric poles.

Wangkho alias Akho Wangsa, 29, a casual electrician died on the spot while three others received severe injuries while installing new electric poles near Borduria village 8 km from Khonsa. The injured have been evacuated to Dibrugarh for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the wife of the deceased has appealed the concerned authority of the power department and Education Minister Honchun Ngandum to engage her on compassionate grounds in the department in order to fend for her minor children.
