ITANAGAR, Jan 9 : Following the directives from Election Commission of India, cascaded training of District Level Master Trainers (DLMT) was held at Chief Electoral Office, Itanagar today.
Speaking at the inaugural session, CEO Arunachal Pradesh Kaling Tayeng, stated that the Election Commission has organised this programme to ensure smooth polling process in the General Elections 2019. Proper training is important for good and efficient management of elections, he said.
CEO further exhorted all to attend the training with utmost sincerity so that to ensure free, fair and hassle-free polls in the State.
At Namsai, addressing the participants Dr Tapasya Raghav, DEO Namsai emphasised on need of proper training to election officials so that no mistakes are made on the ground.
State Level Master Trainers who had undergone training at New Delhi in the month of November and December 2018 conducted by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, will be imparting training to DLMTs on EVM-VVAPT, counting & declaration of results, nomination process, ERO, model code of conduct and others. At least 138 officers from district are attending training at Itanagar and 72 officers are attending the same at Namsai.
