Tawang, Feb 1: Gearing up for the ensuing bye elections to 1-Lumla ST Assembly Constituency, the Returning Officer RD Thungon and Deputy District Election Officer, Rinchin Leta called a meeting with all the nodal officers today.
In his address, Thungon, asked the officials to pull up their socks and get ready for the smooth conduct of the election. With collective responsibility we shall conduct election successfully in a free and fair manner and service from employees of Tawang and Mogto constituencies will be requisitioned for election process, he said.
He further informed that three all-women polling stations has been proposed; polling officials will be detailed after randomization.  On February 5 next, the first randomization of election materials will be done whereas the second randomization will be done on February 11 next and commissioning of the materials will be done on February 15 next in presence of all the stake holders. He further asked the nodal officers to clarify any doubt from the election office while discharging their duties.
Earlier in his welcome address to the nodal officers, Dy.DEO Rinchin Leta asserted that though all the officers are well experienced in performing election duties, but its always good to have timely review meetings to avoid any mistakes since there is always scope for improvement. He requested the nodal officers to keep in constant touch with the election branch and returning officer for any doubts.
