ITANAGAR, Mar 14: In an effort to take the election campaigning to the extreme corners of the state, former Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and state BJP President Tapir Gao today flagged off 50 mobile video vans which will cover all the 60 assembly constituencies.
Addressing the media during the flag off ceremony, Mein said that the state of the art vans are equipped with LCD and latest electronic gadgets and are solely meant for the party’s election campaigning and will reach out to people living even in interior places of the state.
Meanwhile, the party’s state President Tapir Gao informed that the preparation of party manifesto is in the final stage and would be released shortly.
When questioned if such promotional activity is allowed under MCC guidelines, Gao informed that the initiative was launched after obtaining due permission from concerned authorities.
