SEPPA, Dec 23: As a part of its outreach education orientation program, the East Kameng Social Welfare and Cultural Organization (EKSWCO) visited the Government Middle School Pakka and Govt. Residential School, Rawa located in the remote Bameng assembly constituency on December 21-22.
The program is an effort by EKSWCO to build trust and promote the importance of education among the student community in the district.
According to the EKSWCO report, students belonging to the Puroik community are mostly enrolled and studying in the Govt. Residential School, Rava. During the interaction with the students, Nikam Talang, GS, EKSWCO, spoke about the importance of education and motivated them to imbibe good moral character and discipline in life.
He urged them to give equal importance to curriculum-related activities apart from education so that a cognitive aptitude can be developed.
Tallang also urged the teaching fraternity to motivate and impart good and quality education to all students, which is relevant to today’s changing environment.
He further assured to extend all possible assistance by EKSWCO for the betterment of the education sector of the district.
Status of the syllabus, enrollment of students and availability of books were discussed. Feedbacks and problems were also inquired by the visiting team.
Later sweaters, blankets, notebooks, and pens were also distributed to the students.
