Itanagar, Mar 15: The Election Expenditure Monitoring( EEM) team for 13-Itanagar, 14- Doimukh and 15 Sagalee ACs led by EAC ,Naharlagun Khoda Bath met to discuss the expenditure monitoring system of the electoral process, here in the ZPC Conference hall, Yupia on Friday.
Terming the EEM as a crucial aspect of ensuring transparency and accountability in the electoral process EAC Khoda Bath,who is also the Nodal Officer for EEM, urged the team members to be abreast with the legal framework, monitoring and enforcement mechanisms and the reporting requirements.
Assistant expenditure observers, Accounting teams, Treasury officers of Naharlagun and Itanagar, Lead bank managers and Assistant Commissioner ( Tax and excise) Itanagar attended the meeting.
Earlier on Thursday, DEO Jiken Bomjen also reviewed the election preparedness with the Nodal Officers appointed for MCC, Transport, EVM, MCMC, Accommodation, Training, Postal Ballot ,cVigil/ Sugham, Observers, Polling Day on at the DC Conference Hall.
He urged all the Nodal Officers to be pro active and sought cooperation from all for the successful conduct of the elections.
EAC ( Election) Dani Rikang also informed that the election related activities are going on in a full swing in Papum Pare.
“ Flying Squad Teams, Video Surveillance team, Video Viewing team, Static Surveillance team, s have been constituted; first phase of training for polling and presiding Officers have been conducted; FLCs of EVMs in the presence of the political agents completed; strong rooms have been identified and inspected by the DEO,” EAC Rikang further informed.
