Loth/ Yachuli, Jan 21: Education Minister, Taba Tedir on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of the newly created Circle Headquarters here in Yachuli AC under Lower Subansiri district.
Addressing a huge gathering of local people on the occasion, Tedir said establishment of the CO headquarters in Loth was on his electoral agenda, which has been completed today with the foundation stone ceremony. He also announced fifty lakhs for the construction of the CO office and appealed people to support government in development of the area.
Education Minister also urged them to cooperate with the development agency for timely completion of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) and refrain from creating interruption during development work. In this regard he informed that a mega inaugural ceremony will be conducted before the commencement of works of the TAH wherein all elected leaders from West Siang, Siang, Upper Subansiri, Leparada, Kamle and Lower Subansiri districts will be invited.
Responding to the memorandum submitted by the Upper Yachuli Development Committee (UYDC), Tedir assured to look over the upgradation demand of Loth Middle School to Secondary level.
Agriculture, Horticulture & Dairy Development, Minister Tage Taki hoped that laying of foundation stone would pave the way for better development of the Loth Administrative Circle of the constituency. “Loth and adjacent areas have become one of the major producers of cardamom in Lower Subansiri. However in absence of good communication and marketing linkages, farmers will always become a scapegoat to the middleman,” he added, while emphasising on the importance of good roads and marketing linkages. He also highlighted several hurdles that delayed the construction of the much anticipated TAH project in Lower Subansiri district.
