PASIGHAT, Jun 18: East Siang DC ,Dr.Kinny Singh during a media briefing this evening said that the reports of the primary and secondary contacts have come negative. Further she also mentioned that the second sample of the two Covid positive patients have been tested negative.  However, two areas have been put under active surveillance adding that the situation is under control.
Concentrated efforts have been made by the DA in terms of segregation of the frontline health workers by accommodating them in six dedicated facilities.  Also to streamline liaisioning with volunteers during the collective fight against Covi-19 in the district, a coordination committee has been formed headed by ADC,Hq and DMO and SP as members. A separate Committee for welfare of Frontline workers have also been constituted with representation from Police and Medical Department.
The DC also appreciated the contribution and the concerns raised by the NGOs, CBOs, in the fight against Covid-19 in the district adding that the collective and joint efforts by the DA,  Covid-19 Warriors and NGO’s of East Siang  and cohesive efforts will help contain the fight against the  virus  adding  'we are all working together with the common objective  to fight against the virus.'
The DMO, Dr. Kaling Dai, in his briefing said that all received samples from primary and secondary contacts have tested negative adding that with this , the situation is under control . He urged the citizens not to panic and also called for cohesive efforts by all stakeholders.
Earlier, in the day, two consultatives meetings were chaired by the DC in the presence of MLA, Kaling Moyong, SP, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, ADC (Hq), Tatdo Borang, Health Authorities etc.
Keeping in view the present situation, DA has lifted the restrictions under Epidemic Diseases Act. 1897 imposed on 14th June with effect from June 19. Shops in pasighat township and vegetable market at Giddi Notko are permitted to resume economic activities.  Also outgoing passenger movement from Pasighat township has been permitted.
The DC has directed all concerned officers to ensure strict maintenance of social distancing norms and regulations. DIPRO
